Summary/ Objective
The position of a Drafting Technician is responsible for creating and redlining piping isometrics and piping and instrumentation diagrams. A Drafting Technician will perform work as required to maximize the quality of the Company while maintaining the specified expectations of the client and ensure safe working environment while performing work and will conduct all Company business in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position will maintain professionalism throughout all business dealings, both internally and externally.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, a Drafting Technician is occasionally required to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit and lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are variable/ project dependent. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Travel is expected. Extensive travel throughout U.S. and overnight stay for extended periods of time.

Required Education and Experience
Technical Drawing, Petrochemical/refinery or related fields. Familiarity with inspection isometrics and P&ID’s. Knowledge of computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software and its features; database searches, proficiency in the use of calculation, simulation and graphic design software. Basic jobsite follow-up (coordination of players, organization, checking of invoices, writing of reports).
Preferred Education and Experience
Petrochemical/refinery experience. First Aid and CPR trained. Class “A” driver’s license and a clean MVR.
